Im sure you can.  SA does not take very much power to run.  I even ran it on a PIII-700 with a GeForce 3 Ti 200.  It ran great.

That has nothing to do with it. PS2 games are optimized for.......the PS2.

My laptop that had those same specs could play Guild Wars so his computer could probably play GTA San Andreas

Well sure I don't doubt that. I'm just saying you can't go off the logic that if it plays on a weaker console then it will play on a stronger PC. Two different worlds.

Right click on your desktop. Properties and the settings. It will tell you what your monitor is connected to.

Go to start/control panel/ system/ Then click the hardware tab and click the device manager button. Now click the + beside display adapters... thats where you'll see your video card properties...well one of the places.lol

It should still run fine on your box in 1024x768.  You might need to turn the draw distance down a little but it should run fine.  SA just does not need that much, same with Vice City and GTA3.  Thats why they are great games for older systems.

You can NOT run the game, there is nothing you can do, sorry. Your "graphics card" has no shaders, bl.

I would not listen to these clowns.  I'm sure you can run it.  Like I said I ran SA on a GeForce 3 Ti200 which was only a DX8 card.  I'm not sure what they mean by no shaders but I think it just means you can not run Bloom or HDR with it and SA does not even come cloce to using Bloom or HDR!

Sorry about that. Bloom and HDR have nothing to deal with shading. Those two features focus on the lighting

Wrong.  Bloom is a "shader". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloom_%28shader_effect%29

You can not have lighting effects without shaders so they everything to do with shaders!
