I can't decide if I want to either make my own custom PC or buy a MacBook Pro. I want the MacBook Pro for video editing or the custom PC for gaming.

I heard from someone who is in film school and from a friend that Mac's are better for video editing than a Windows PC.

@Jr14: macs have good PROGRAMS for editing, and less viruses written for them, but the gaming sides of mac are slim. A good PC will do both hands down. but if you just want editing and a closed OS with few options other than a multimedia suite than go right ahead and buy a mac. but it's worth noting that for the same price as the macbook pro you can probably build a 2-3x faster pc
