Asus Maximus VI Extreme

Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming GT

Asus Sabertooth Z87

Asus Z87-Pro

I'm looking for a motherboard that supports 2way possibly 3way sli, and that has an HDMI and display port.

Why would you want HDMI and display port on a mother board if you going to run SLI? The graphics cards will have them.

LOL, all those fancy names; all of them are equal in quality

If you have the money for Maximus VI Extreme go for it; heard it got good capacitors for OC

I guess my question is does a motherboard and video card have to both have HDMI and display port to use either one?

No. You can use whichever of the ports on your GPU regardless of what your mobo have.
