Which method is a safer approach to overclocking?

using an i5 3570k w/ coolermaster evo 212 and a z77 extreme4 (corsair vengeance 1866 RAM / MSI R7870 GPU)

dont do the second. just change the multiplier and then adjust voltage as necessary. either use a fixed voltage - runs at that voltage constantly regardless of cpu load/speed or offset voltage. just raise the multiplier to 44 should be some presets in your motherboard, those can work too

Yeah you can use that program too if you want. Just set it to 44
