I here Sony and Samsung make the best lcd's around that size followed closely by LG.

Any thoughts?

If I was going for a brand I could trust that was affordable (ie, not an off-name el-cheapo) I would buy a Samsung. I have some problems with them, but they are probably the best panels at their price. If I had more money to throw around, I would buy a Sony or a Sharp.

Can't go wrong with either a Sony or Samsung.
