I'm getting an 8600gts superclocked 256mb gddr3 card (whew!). What does superclocked mean? Thanks!ragdollsrock012
It means it has overclocked speeds. Some brands use different words to set themselves apart from others but it all means the same things: the card is overclocked.
So basically it has a better performance (higher fps)?

Yes, but how many more FPS depends on the game. clock speeds can make a ddecent difference, or next to none depending on the game. It never hurts though.
It never hurts though.

Oh, but it can! If you overclock it to much and don't take into account cooling.. Then the cards life span goes down.

If the manufacturer overclocks it before it reaches the store and it goes it is covered. It's called factory overclocking. As long the manufacturer puts good enough cooling and the voltage isn't too high you'll be fine.

But if the voltage stay the same and the OC are keapt moderate i dont think it'll be any difference in life span.
And as Jade_Monke already mentioned; if it's a factory OC it's covered in the warrany.
