Japanese anime and headphones... gotcha.
Yeah you are going to need good content. Whether is downloaded or bluray. Stream qualities are compressed.
A sound card would be a good start. Depends on what headphones you have too.
I may only have access to the internet at the library, so i doubt i can download blu ray movies or other downloadables.Japanese anime and headphones... gotcha.

Depends on the headphones. If they're good you could try a headphone amp or a dac/soundcard (or a combination of the two).
However if they're not high end headphones it's not really worth it.
[QUOTE="hydralisk86"][QUOTE="MonsieurX"]Still limited by the source. Can't make good out of if the source sucks. I guess you'll be streaming those animes over the internet? Can't do much.MonsieurXI will probably be watching stuff from hulu and crunchyroll, which i think are legit. They are websites, streaming. Can't do much. OK, so are you saying that streamed videos don't have high quality sound, and therefore it would be a smarter idea to buy cheaper headphones to watch them?

1. So basically, you're saying streamed videos usually have low quality sound and video, so i should probably buy cheaper headphones?
2. If you check hulu.com, there is the option to choose high quality, though i don't know if that's for high quality sound, video, or both. Does that make any difference to buy more expensive headphones?
3. Last qusetion: I'm thinking about buying this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00007E7C8/ref=s9_psimh_gw_p23_d0_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1MYSEE8N2F8THHHYJGR4&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1389517282&pf_rd_i=507846
Should it be good enough for streamed videos? I said i watch hulu, but i may also watch youtube, crunchyroll, and possibly other sites.

Those headphones will be fine. I don't know if the, "High Quality" option for Hulu videos makes a difference enough to buy headphones that are more expensive. What do you think? Are these headphones http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00007E7C8/ref=s9_psimh_gw_p23_d0_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&%3Bpf_rd_s=center-2&%3Bpf_rd_r=1MYSEE8N2F8THHHYJGR4&%3Bpf_rd_t=101&%3Bpf_rd_p=1389517282&%3Bpf_rd_i=507846&tag=gamespot-vg-20 still good enough for watching streamed Hulu videos while turning on the "high quality" option?
