"Ultra specs: Intel Core i7-4770K with a GeForce 780"

Really? unless ultra specs are for 4k display I call this a crappy port, as far as I know the game will lunch on PS4 and Xbox One as well, so unless the console versions will look like PC version on medium or it's a crap of a port.

That's my thought anyway, yours?

It's a cross gen game.

There's no way they can justify those specs.

Crysis 3 was last gen game, and you'll still struggle to max it with modern GPUs. it all depends on how heavy they go with PC-specific graphics.

judging from the NVIDIA partnership, they've done a lot of work to make the PC version as beatiful as possible.

Expect your peasantbox is capped at 30fps@720p and mine runs beautifully at 60 fps maxed 8xmsaa 1080p.

What settings should I expect to play with AMD FX 8350 and AMD HD 7850(Factory Over clocked to 1000ghz) over clocked by me to 1150ghz. Its the 2gb edition and slightly surpasses stock 7870 benchmarks.

Also another Nvdia partnership game, I'll upgrade my GPU sometime this year would it best for me to go for a Nvdia card rather than AMD.

I was going to buy the boosted factory over clocked 7970

GPU clocked at 1150GHz? You will max all the games at least for the next 50+ years, If the vram doesn't become a problem.

We'll have to wait and see for ourselves.

But ubisoft is not exactly known for their great ports... Oh, hahaha, I forgot: PC is "lead platform"

yeah, we'll wait and see.

lul... mad PC fanboy?

people that play Ubisoft games on PC are just asking for issues... they generally do not do good PC ports (splintercell blacklist aside... that port was great).

Get used to it neck beards. this is next gen. These consoles are way more efficient than last gens. you will need alot more power to match these consoles.

Ya it sounds absurd these specs. I think it's time these companies started to do more optimizing on the pc side of things. If these games aren't able to be run at ultra by last years high end card the 680 or say even the 770 then these companies have done a horrible job optimizing and utilizing the GPU and CPU power at hand.

Optimizing pc games is just a waste of time for devs. The will make 3x the money from consoles anyways.

@Alienware_fan: Considering the pc gaming market is much larger then consoles worldwide I highly doubt optimizing is not worth their time. Also please provide proof to that statement of them making 3x more money on consoles. The last time I checked pc was the most profitable market for games.

wich is all good. this is what we've been waiting for. it's not like the PS4 version runs with those ultra specs. Watch Dogs has GTX 560 as the recommended GPU, so i'll guess that ancient GPU gives you the PS4-like experience.

To match?...

  • 900p resolution
  • Medium to high settings
  • 30FPS

TEH NEXT GEN!

I'm curious as to see what framerate and resolution they are referencing then they recommend ultra settings with a 4770 and 780, because 1080p and 40fps are different to 80fps and 1440.

If anything we'll need less since the consoles are x86 now. Last gen they were trying to be gimped PCs, this gen they've finally achieved it.

Those ultra specs are for those super high-end Nvidia specific features which aren't really well optimized. Don't worry about it.

The requirements for the game aren't that high. 3+ year old mid-range GPUs and 5 year old CPUs is pretty low requirements given the fact devs aren't building games around single core processors and 512mbs of ram anymore.

It says it needs a 6 core 12 threaded intel i7 cpu... i'd be really shocked to see if it can even use half that amount of threads. I've never seen a game stress my cpu more then 50%, its usually the gpu my pc is being stressed at, its usually 100% in any modern game
