I must first ask two questions: 1) Is the hit registration responsive, featuring locational damage/impact animations? 2) What's the overall size of the environment is War Z set in? It seems promising, I would like to play a zombie survival game using a contemporary engine without a clunky UI.
Anyways... I've always wanted a Zombie Survival video game in a huge persistent world but I'll wait until this game releases in its final form. It looks like it has a lot of potential but from what I've seen, nothing has really grabbed me yet.

It isn't free to play. It is a one time payment of $30. That is why right now they have these deals. But yes, the things you can purchase are mostly aesthetic. You can't purchase good weapons or anything like that. So it is definitely not pay to win.

I hope that's the case, I wouldn't past the developers to put in multiple gameplay-oriented micro-transactions, this game is ripe for that sort of thing.
Looks so bad, that latest footage of the PvP looked terrible.
You can buy a good amount of the things in the game with real money, it looks like COD or Left4Dead with a few dayz ideas slapped on. Doesnt look to have half the atmosphere that Dayz has.
I will try the game but its not looking good at all from the gameplay, looks super generic.
It looks much better than I thought it would but, ill pass on playing it early i really want to hear some reviews and things of that nature though if its f2p which im not sure at this point ill just try it when it actually comes out
I'm investing time in a lot of different things besides games these days, so I probably won't get it until there's some solid feedback about it maybe 2 weeks to a month after its release.

It is just for masks, some backpacks and weak melee weapons. It won't make it unfair.

I gotta agree with Mr. Kozzy here. I love zombies. I love zombie games but not all if they suck. I'm not saying War Z will be bad or good, that is still early to tell but it does look generic. Beta will be available October 30th and who knows when the final product will be out.. but for what they are offering for that kind of money to place our trust in, doesn't the game look a bit rushed? There's so much potential for War Z though, and I hope they make the most and best out of it.
. Beta testing is supposed to help the developers make a better game with the help of free feedback, not line their pockets. I got this email too and could hardly believe it. If they're nickle and diming people this early on a F2P title then I think I will skip it. God only knows how bad their cash shop will be
Ahhh i thought so, and it's a good thing two companies are going head to head trying to get our votes. Competition is only a good thing for the consumer, they will continue to make it better and different to the other. These games look great, i've got my eyes on them.
