Have you got another PCI-E port you could try it in? It make make a little difference. If not I assume you have a micro-ATX case (or the other small ones) . Best bet is to buy a bigger case if your motherboard supports it. Or if you want it on the cheap and are hands on, you could cut a bit out of the hard drive docks, provided it can dock the one (or more) you already have.
I recently bought a gts 250 1gb for my acer ax3950, but when i tried to put it in it did not fit. I want to play Battlefield 3. What is a video card that will fit but will also play battlefield 3 at 60 fps (low)?speedysam123have you tried following an official installation video?

while not 100% idential to an nvidia card install the principals are the same
