UK replies only please as the value from another country is pretty irrelevant unfortunately.

Looking at selling my PC as I'm doing a new build, Here are the specs:

Case - Fractal Design R3 (extra fans fitted so it has 2 front 120mm, 1 back 120mm and 1 top 200mm).

Processor - i7-2600

Heat Sink - Not sure on the model but it's some quiet running Titan unit.

GPU - HD7950 Twin Frozr boost

Motherboard - ASUS P8P67 (Rev 3.0)

Ram - 8gb Samsung DDR3 1333 MHz

HD - 2 x Caviar Black 640GB in Raid 1 (I'll reinstall windows though so I'll leave these to act as two independent HD's I think so it has twice the storage).

PSU - TX650

OS - Windows 7

Any thoughts on a value for this? I find it difficult to price up a second hand PC. It's 4 years old but still running perfectly and has been looked after well. The GPU is obviously not as old as the other parts.

Probably around $400 or so. So whatever that translates to in GBP. I'd offer free-shipping and leave those harddrives in RAID. And obviously clean out the inside from dust.

Is that taking into account that PC hardware is much more expensive in the UK than the US though? Just doing a currency conversion from a US price wouldn't give an accurate UK price really. It's already free from dust. ;)

It's an old PC, dude. You're not going to get even half of what it cost to make it. MAYBE if the parts were brand new, but they aren't. I would say whatever it cost to make, divide by three and ask for that much.

@airshocker: yeah I know I wont get much. There is a big difference between price in the UK and US for PC stuff though. Just as an example the new GTX 970 non reference models are around £300 which is about $480 USD. As I'm sure you're aware it costs much less than that in the US. This is why I need a UK price really, not just a price conversion from what it would be worth in the US.

£400 would be fair, you might even get closer to £500.

That PC is worth far more than that, $400 is £250 in English currency.

If the OP would sell his PC for that I'd bite his hand off and sell it on for profit.

I'd settle for £500, if you Ebay it and you do auction smart you may get a little more.

Great stuff, thanks everyone. That's more like what I was hoping it would be worth. Now to find a buyer so I can start my new build!
