Introduction:

The purpose of this thread is as simple as the title dictates.

Most of us Steam users have probably come across coupons for games we don't intend on playing. We've come across multiple copies of the same type of game we're holding as gifts. And some of us badge collectors are looking to capitalize on our misfortunes with other like-minded people: i.e trading unwanted steam cards for others we might need.

This thread can be used for all of that and hopefully more.

Now, while there are other resources out there designed with the same objective in mind,this thread is designed with Gamespot users as a priority. By trading amongst ourselves, we'll have a chance to get to know each other better and build a stronger PC-gaming community amongst ourselves.

Now with all that in mind, we should probably set up some ground rules:

Rule No. 1: Do not monetize goods.According to the Gamespot TOS- which all of you should probably be familiar with at this point-we are not permitted to sell, for money, any items/goods/services through this specific website. In other words keep it traditional. Cave man give you orange, you give caveman pineapple. Bartering is key.
Rule No. 2: Be fair to your fellow gamer. While value is in the hands of the beholder, don't swindle people with trades you know might be unfair/unjust. This is a rule that's in place to protect some of the people who might be new to this.
Rule No. 3: If you post in this thread with a trade offer and you manage to get it fulfilled. Please go back to your original post and edit in a text (hopefully with a distinguishable colour palette) stating that the trade offer is no longer up for grabs. This will make things easier for people who are browsing offers and, more importantly, easier on you as well. The last thing you probably want is people bugging you for trades you've already completed.

That about sums it all Up.

If you guys have suggestions or improvements you would like to see added to the thread. Feel free to contribute.

But in the meantime keep in mind that this is an unofficial thread. So its success or failure depends on you. Hopefully we can make this thread

I realise this is old (yet another necro today!! Grr) Is anyone interested in this thread as verbalfilth has put the effort in. I would like to get a good trading community going here but I've tried many times over the years. If nobody cares I'll lock it and we can move on.

It's not worth much, but I got a uplay code for Rainbow Six Siege's beta if anyone wants it.
