I have finished my build with a budget of 650$. It includes an OS. I was just wondering if anyone can tell if its in my best interest to change something.

I plan on playing D3, SWTOR, Shogun 2, Skyrim(possibly), and other RTS/MMO/RPG type games.

After this i added 39$ in warrenties(are they needed?) and 24$ in shipping. Any help is appreciated. All that comes to about 637$.

Tweaked your build a bit:

NZXT Gamma Case

Samsung F3 500GB HDD

ASRock AM3 Motherboard

Corsair 430w Power Supply

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS

HIS HD 6850 Video Card w/ AMD 4GB DDR3-1600 Memory

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor w/ LG DVD Drive

That should all come to 639.99 including shipping.

Reasons for changes:

- The hard drive you picked isn't very fast, and will bog down your loading times. The Samsung F3 is similar in speed to the Caviar Black, without the price premium.

- Raidmax cases are junk; never, ever buy a case from them. I've used the NZXT Gamma case before, and although it's a pretty small case, it will work well for your build.

- Changed your motherboard due to compatibility issues.

- Changed your processor as the Phenom II X4 is a better processor than that FX processor, bar-none.

- Changed your video card as the 7750 is severely lacking in performance.

- DVD drive is changed to one that can read in 24X speed, compared to the 22X speed of yours.

- Changed the memory due to lower pricing.

- Changed your PSU to a much more reliable one. The only Rosewill PSU's I know of that are semi-reliable are the Green series. The rest is junk.

Huh, really? What's your shipping cost? It comes up to 21.08 in my cart.

Do you get taxed where you live? And are you sure you removed all the insurance charges on your items?

Nice build. I'm kinda being picky for saying this, but the CX500 is only $4 more after the promo code and shipping costs. I feel that it's worth the slightly higher cost for the extra headroom.

You could also get the X4 975 its 2$ more and its worth the 200Mhz increase I would say. This. Also its a combo deal with DVD drive.

Calm down, marcthpro. Do you not think I did my research on it before recommending a 430w?

Based on this Hardwarecanucks review of the X4 975, an X4 975 and GTX 280 build will hit 418w at full CPU and GPU load (Prime95 and OCCT, respectively). Now, obviously, if that was the build I was recommending, I would agree with your objections on the 430w. However, refer to this Techpowerup review of the HD 6850:

As you can see, at maximum load, the 6850 is approx. 100 watts lower than the GTX 280 at peak load. So theoretically, that puts the maximum power consumption of an X4 975 and HD 6850 build to about 318w, if not lower.

He'll be fine with the setup I recommended him. But if he can afford stepping up to the X4 975 and 500CX, I'm not going to stop him, obviously.

if the man can't afford the extra $6 to upgrade to a 500 watt powersupply and a 975 then he shouldn't be upgrading his computer but instead looking for a job.

well he should really get a 500-550W Regardless and as for the other one who quote us it a intel mobo with amd cpu ? .. you do know that the Raven Setup is not the same setup as Original TC ?

if he get a 500W-550W is likely to be stable with even a GTX 570 in future but like i said not in recommendation spec yet possible : that why having a little big power supply is essential making sure it as like 24A 12V instead of 14A Wattage is not everything however you must alway check Ampere on 12V Supply because u don't want to convert 3.3V /5V to 12V Assisting supply with a molex to 4-8 pin connector it not very stable and dangerous when ur trying to draw 75W of a molex

but anyway he should be able to afford the cpu upgrade if it less then 10$ of difference same with power supply else he should save another Week and get that extra 6-10$ for a upgrade that worth it

Im only 16 years old. It took me a year to save up this much. I can afford the PSU and CPU upgrades though. The shipping cost keeps changing for some reason.
