Turn based OFFLINE/ONLINE Work Games ???

Stay with me on this request.

Are there any types of games (except things like Chess), where people can log in to a webpage or program with their own account, make their move and then the next person logs in etc?

We are looking for one to play at work, at low load times but not something real time since not all the staff is present always.

Hmm, Frozen Synapse works a bit like that. You can even play several matches at once. Other than that, I remember that Defcon had a office mode which you could play over a whole workday, but I never tried it myself.

Edit: A browser version of Battle World Kronos was announced, that might be another great fit.
