Pretty good score, higher than I expected tbh.
So what do you guys think? Buying or pass?

I'm going to wait for some user reactions.
I am of the belief that these reviews were bought. My reason: No video game publisher would allow reviews out over a week prior to launch (ie: enough time for people to see them and go "damn, I don't want that anymore" and cancel pre-orders) unless he already knew what those reviews were going to be (ie: he paid for them to be what they are). Unless the game was AAA A+ quality (which 8.5 is not).
EDIT: And don't get me wrong, I am hoping to be wrong... I love history mixed with action (Uncharted) and this is that, so if it is good I will grab it... Just want to be sure. But when like 10 different sites all release their review 8 days early and give it an 8.5 across the board (apart from IGN who are cheap on the review payscale, 8.5 worth of cash elsewhere is a 9.1 with them lol).

Review embargo lifts on launch day: THE REVIEWS ARE BOUGHT
No review embargo: THE REVIEWS ARE BOUGHT
I'll wait for some more reviews, but I'll most likely be getting this game soon after launch. I just hope the PC version is a good port.
Here are the reviews so far.[QUOTE="Gallowhand"]

Thanks for the link. :) The game seems to be solid across the board.
The game can be found for $30-31 on Nuuvem. Sure, it is a Brazilian site but you can pay using paypal and the Steam keys work anywhere, regardless where you live. Bought a couple of games from them and they worked perfectly on my Steam account. Miroku32Do they accept Visa Gift Cards?=O
I love GMG deals, they're the only reason I pre-order in the first place. After pre ordering Bioshock Infinite I had $18 in GMG credit and got Tomb Raider for $18 with their 20% discount + credit

Maybe they were just confident?? I must admit. I'm really surprised by the review scores given how negative several previews were - even on Gamespot. I guess it comes down to who reviews it sometimes.I'm going to wait for some user reactions.

[QUOTE="Elann2008"]GMG's deal is too good to pass up on this game. I've been waiting around for a while for its release so I'm getting it.mitu123What deal?
It's already 10% off and if you use the code GMG20-P4DLK-FKYRS you get an addition 20% off bringing it to $36. If you pre order Bioshock Infinite you get $15 of GMG credit (as well as 2 games) and you get get Tomb Raider for $21

yea I did something similar although I only had 10 dollars GMG credit so it cost me $26. I heard somewhere the singleplayer is pretty long so I'm fine with that.
Will be getting it at some point.
The PC version and AMD cards have extra hair physics lol.
Pretty cool.

Wow what a deal! It's a few bucks cheaper on Amazon.com at the moment if you use the code "CAGROCKS". Comes out to $33 or so.. can't remember the exact price.
I'm getting it. I need a bit of a break from fighting games, new Tomb Raider looks quite interesting and it seems as if they're giving the PC version some extra love.
Not sure how I feel about the weapon and skill upgrades, though. Like you can run around with a rifle with a grenade launcher attachment. Maybe I'll stick with the bow or pistols or something.
thanks! JUST GOT IT! $36 ON AMAZON and its steam key! ill have next tuesday off which makes this even betterIt's a few bucks cheaper on Amazon.com at the moment if you use the code "CAGROCKS". Comes out to $33 or so.. can't remember the exact price.

Most likely getting it since I have $15 in Amazon game credit and the DD version is only $32 with a coupon so I can get it for like $16. The reviews sold me on it and I really have nothing else to play until Bioshock Infinite comes out. I'm still debating whether to get it on the PC or XBox, the DD version coupon ends on Thursday, so have to decide by then.
It works for Nvidia cards as well.I thougfht it was AMD only because they posted it on facebook and said they had worked with someone to create it lol. good that everyone gets it. :)[QUOTE="PcGamingRig"]

Since when did UK games come out same time as US?. Normaly games come out on a Fridayer here in UK but Tombraider is out on the same day. Tuesday 5th. woopwoop.
My opinion is split on the new game; one side of me wants to buy it because it looks great and I wan't to contribute to Crystal Dynamics as well, but the other side doesn't wan't to go near it because how things in gaming stand today they'll push it to min. Tomb Raider 5 and I'll never see the conclusion to Legacy of Kain :(

Whatever it is, must be a good one. Can't even load GMG at the moment. Must be crashing their servers. :P
EDIT: Finally loaded: It's $44.99 USD but I think you can stack the 20% off too so it brings it down to $35.99
Me. Open World game, Great Reception from Critics and Lara Croft. that's enough to satisfy me.faizan_faizan
I don't think its really open world. I think its more like Uncharted with a few open levels where you can explore a bit.

With your partnership with AMD, will there be any features in Tomb Raider that will be exclusive to gamers with AMD hardware, and unavailable to Nvidia users?
"No there should not be. AMD has always been quite clear about that as well. We are working on features that are specific to the PC platform, but if they are DX11 features they will also work on Nvidia DX11 hardware.
And while we support features like Eyefinity that does not mean we do not support features like Surround for Nvidia."
