I currently have a Q8300, was wondering will I see a big difference in performance going to these new processors?

Most definitely, especially if you do CPU intensive tasks like video encoding. Many games (especially RTS and Battlefield) will benefit as well.

I saw a pretty enormous boost going from a Q6600 to an i7 4770K. Games are using more threads, and dual cores and older quad cores just don't cut it these days.

I have never used the 3570k but the 4670k is doing absolutely amazing for me. But be aware if you get the 3570k or 4670k you will have to get a new motherboard.

i7 doesn't provide real benefit for gaming : i5 does

The only difference is in CPU hog games such as Metro Last Light which benefits from high end CPU and GPU ratio

I was thinking about overhauling my mobo and cpu also and switching to one of these would I notice a difference from my fx 8150? I mean ive seen benchmarks and stuff. but thats benchmarks. I can pretty much do everything smoothly with my current cpu. but im just itching for an upgrade
