Well ,i hooked up my xbox controller and head set the other day and to my surprise they finally split the voice audio and the main audio.
In the past it was a bit annoying because either you heard everything though your speaker (voice, music, soundfx). Now i hear the voice just through my xbox headset.
On a side note you have party chat now on origin as wel, i don't know if you have it on steam though but i suppose it's only a matter of time
