Is there a game like this:

-nonlinear

-stable and doesn't have any major technical problems

-has multiplayer

-can have upgrades, can be rpg like, can be mmo don't care

-real time

-has good exploration and gameplay

-has colorful graphics but not pastel like WoW or Wildstar. Survival/horror games often have cool gameplay and headache inducing black/brown/grey only color palettes.

Borderlands 2. If you cant have fun with borderlands 2, especially in co-op, then video games might not be for you.

I have this problem too from time to time. Thank Larian for Divinity: Original Sin or I might still be in a little rut.

I don't get the Sleeping Dogs bashing that is going around. I was listening to slacker, and a station DJ on one of their adverts was talking smack on the game because of the no shadows in front of car headlights.

Good story and an awesome twist on GTA type games... sometimes you just don't feel like running through a mission with guns blazing to get your objective complete.

-Edit I got a little over zealous here, I was thinking of Watch Dogs.

Kingdoms of Amalur. It has no multiplayer, and the graphics are pretty WoWish (more like Fable), but it is worth trying if you never played it. You can get it for pretty cheap these days, too.

Ehh watch dogs felt overhyped. I'm thinking part 2 will be better kind of reminds me AC1 it doesn't know what it wants to be yet with its gameplay.

Red Faction Guerilla comes to mind. Open world, upgrades, interesting gameplay and destruction and somewhat colourful, although you won't find lush and green forests on Mars... There is multiplayer but I imagine it would be hard to find any games running.

Rogue Legacy fits all those criteria... except for lack of multiplayer, this game will solve the 'cant find one that is fun' problem

I have only played two games from 2014. And i like them both. Wolfenstein The New Order and Watch Dogs are both good games.
