I been running Pentium D 820 (2.8GHz), 3GB RAM, with a chinky Radeon x700 pro. Its a 2 year old Gateway. I bought the vid card and 2GB RAM separately.

What is the best vid card I can get that won't create a bottleneck in my system?

Ok your cpu wont be the bottleneck for most new graphics cards. your cpu will bottleneck with higher settings with lots of AI or physics with new programs or games wanting newer cpus for best settings. A 8800GS,9600gt or 8800GT would be a good card to get. If you want ATI 3850,3870 and maybe 4850 would be fine. But your Cpu has at least another good year left before you cant play games on high.

Thx for ur input...see i've been eyeing the nVidia cards like the 8800 or 9600. I'm mostly a console gamer...but I'll wanna grab one of those cards to play Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 on.
