This caught me pretty off-guard. I was just the other day lamenting the recent lack of updates in both Elite and SC recently and then bamm! Persistent Universe! I had no idea this was this close, but perhaps I haven't been keeping up with all the relevant forums enough to know what's coming. I'll be checking this out tonight for sure.

Has anyone tried this yet?

I think so, but I have no idea what's in the PTU at this point. However, my biggest complaint about AC right now is as awesome as flying SC ships is, AC is limited in scope. I've dying to see what's in the PTU and I'll know in about 45 minutes and post back.

Nevermind. It was 45 minutes till the first patch, lol. My connection is fast but the download rate I get from the SC servers never comes close to topping it out.

They gave a list byshop of whats do up..Fps is do in the spring..Capture the idress..They just had a major update in 1,0..Things will start rolling on sc..Give it time its there year bro..Elite said its also working on patching an adding wings so we shall see..Also working on first expansion..

@Gladestone1: Yeah, I know about the Wings patch but if that's all they add then it won't really light my socks on fire. It's a much needed feature, for sure, but it's not really "content". I really like Elite, but at this rate I may end up taking a break from it until they add something to the game that I haven't done yet.

@Chatch09: Wow. Yeah. I thought this was a test of the persistent universe but it's just another patcher. Weaksauce...

Pu wont be hearing about that guys till at least sept oct even nov..Remember its just in concept fazes atm..Will probably have the first chapter of sc 42 than here about the pu after..
