I'm looking to get an Eyefinity setup for WoW and wondering what kind of GPU I would need for Eyefinity. I'm looking preferably for a single GPU and can run the game on Good settings (NOT Maxed out) at 120 fps+ (Not 60fps, looking to use 120hz monitors) in major cities/raids at 5760x1080. Is the 7970 too much? Would I need to Xfire 7970s to get this kind of performance? Any help would be appreciated!

120 fps during raids? GPU should be the least of your worries...

Heavily CPU dependant. You will need a very powerful processor to do what you are asking

Grab yourself a 3960X, overclock it to 5GHz and you might have a chance. Though to be honest, there's really no reason to run a game like WoW at 120 fps.

I can't say "exactly" but I can give you an example. People with i7 get 70-100 fps in cities. During raids, with lots going on, it can easily go below 60. (in my case it halves). And this is speaking on 1 monitor at 1080p.

Ok, I guess I'm not going to doing Eyefinity at 120fps then lol. What would I need for constant 60fps Eyefinity then?

A single good GPU will do it, but its the CPU you have to worry about for WoW.

yea

if you need to max wow @ 120fps you need to consult a physician to get some medical help for e-peen addiction

Ok, 120fps is too expensive. What kind of GPU/CPU would I need for 5760x1080 at constant 60fps on at least Good settings?

WoW only uses two cores max. You will get a better overclock on a dual core 9 times out of 10. So any high end CPU's are out of the picture here.
