Hello

I have a PS3 and I think it is the time to buy a new gaming console. I have a macbook air and I am not really into PCs but I am not planning to spend about 50$ a year for online gameplay on PS4. also I play Battlefield the majority of the time for the last 3 years. so PS4 exclusives isn't a problem to me.

So I googled and found this PC parts with good prices

-EVGA GeForce GTX 660 SUPERCLOCKED 2048MB GDDR5 DVI HDMI DP Graphics Card 02G-P4-2662-KR

-AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition

-Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) CL9 @1.5V UDIMM 240-Pin Memory BLS2CP4G3D1609DS1S00

their total with other related things is 509 and I am not planing to spend more.

if I build a PC with this specs, will I get the same or better graphics and performance as PS4 and Xbox One?

Thanks..

This board would be better for this type of post.
Plus there is a sticky in System Wars that requires you to have 500 posts before making a topic. I moved this to prevent the lock. Be sure to check the boards for stickies.
Stickies are, topics floating the top of the board. Some contain rules or instructions for certain things. That said, welcome to gamespot.

I'd suggest getting at least a 270/760 and a Core i5.

The only item I would change would be the gpu to at least a GTX 760 and you would have a pc that's overall 2x faster then PS4.

Not at all.

i5 will drive up the price for at least 100$

AFAIK GTX 660 is the equivalent of the PS4 GPU, give or take, and FX-6300 is the best budget CPU. I have the same combo and BF3 runs really smooth, but I would recommend GTX 760 if you can afford it, it will last longer. Whatever you choose it's still better than going with PS4.

We all know it's not like that, it's not always numbers,

For very true example: Watch Dogs and the need of high end GPU such as GTX780, the GTX780 alone costs as much if not 100$ above the PS4

Dead serious, in terms of bad ports the most logical thing to do is to get a console instead of buying top end gaming PC to cover up for the lazy developers work to optimize their games to PC.

I had no issue running watchdogs 50+ fps with a mix of high and ultra settings at 1080p vs PS4's 900p 30 fps comparable high settings..... Also getting a PS4 is dumb since there are no games cant play older games, and to the fact that Sony has a redesign of the PS4 in the works. A few bad games from ubi is not a real reason not to get into pc gaming with a decent rig.

The PS4 version of watch dogs is high settings with MBAO at 900p with 30fps. I have a GTX 670, which is more or less the same as a 760, and it runs the game at higher than those settings at a better framerate. The game is poorly optimized, but a GTX 760 still will have no problems outdoing the PS4
