I have a friend of mine decided to go with Razer Goliathus.

But we've got bumped into debating with 2 mouse modules: speed or control.

I have personally used the speed one and it's pretty good.

The only difference is the surface.

Has anyone experienced with the control edition?

EDIT: must point out it's for casual uses AKA web surfing etc.

I use the control as my main pad. It's harder to clean than the speed because of the holes.

I do like it more than the speed though since there's less static friction.

If it's for casual use get a plastic pad, they are easier to clean than both and have a nicer feel.

I have one of these, I'd use it over the razer pad for an office computer.
