I can only assume that the touchpad, bluetooth and sixaxis do not work with a PC? Am I going to have to get a MadCatz controller? Because I am sick to death of that p.o.s. DS3 turd driver for my PS3 controller.

What's wrong with using the DS3?

What's good about it? If you've used it, you must know how ghetto it is.

No. That's why i'm asking.

It works flawlessly for me, everything picks it up as an xbox controller. My PC and bluetooth adapter pick it up as soon as I turn it on. No problems at all. Rumble and analogue triggers are picked up too.

If anyone has the DS4, and the Xbox controller, can you compare the resistance of the joysticks? I love the resistance from the xb360 pad but dislike almost everything else.

I'm curious as well.

As for the ds3, bluetooth was always wacky to me, so I used usb wire. Load it up before I launch the game, which works most of the time. Madcatz would be even more ghetto in comparison. The best would be x360 controller for support.

Either invest in an Xbox 360 controller because Xbox One controller won't be supported until mid-late 2014. Or, buy a PS4 controller if you prefer the dual-shock controller design.

360 controller or even a Madcats 360 controller will solve the issue. I remember have so many issues with motionjoy and then I just said f*** it Demon Souls is hard enough and bought a X360 pad for £20. Job done.

If you don't use bluetooth, Windows picks it up fine and it works flawlessly without the need for DS3 Tools. Which, effectively makes ds3 tools useless. Everytime I try using it, I have to reload all the drivers. After searching I've found a method that supposedly gets bluetooth to work without ds3 tools, though I haven't tried it yet.

But hopefully, someone will get all the features of DS4 working. Oh, and another issue is that ds3 tools acts as a sort of security hole. Like, the people who wrote it could theoretically hack your computer. I don't know as to what degree, but I'm not comfortable with that.

Don't use DS3_Tool. Once you've installed the drivers, use BetterDS3. First off, it's a offline alternative, whereas DS3_Tool (Motioninjoy) is online. Automatically sets it as a Xinput controller, no need to re-set it everytime you turn on your DS3. Bluetooth and USB supported.

And oh yea, it's not a theoretical Trojan forcing some bs website everytime you run it.
