Problem logging into Steam?

So when I try to log into Steam, it says "Steam is having trouble connecting to the Steam servers". But when my sister logs into her acoount on my computer it works. It's just that my account doesn't work. What's the problem?

Delete the following files and steam should update after you try to connect: appupdatestats.blob and clientregistry.blob
