Strongly considering an upgrade to the Nvidia GTX 660ti what with all the free Borderlands 2 shenanigans.

^ my motherboard.

Will it work? My current card is an AMD (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102948)

I just really don't know much about these things and would like to know if it would be compatible.

Thanks in advance.

If you've got the slot, then its compatible. The card is PCI Express, and your motherboard has a PCI Express slot, so you are good.

If your power supply can handle it and your case is big enough there should be no problem.

yes it will work but imo is not worth replacing that 6870 of yours. Its still a great card and for what it matters i'm quite sure it will be able to max Borderlands 2 as well as most upcoming games. I'd say hold on to that 6870 for a few months until a new series such as the AMD 8xxx series come out
