Alright, how well would the 8850 or whatever the best X3 processor is against the 6400+ Dual Core? Is there much of a difference? I need to get a new processor, but I need a processor that'll be noticably better than my 4200+ Dual Core and it HAS to be AMD. My motherboard is the 780i or whatever the best motherboard is for AMD out. My case is a Antec 900 and I'm going to upgrade my graphics card to a 9800GTX, so with all those together, how will it handle Crysis Warhead, Far Cry 2, Gears of War, etc?
The Fastest X3 or X4 wont beat a X2 5600 or better because Games for the most part dont use all the cores and because of the slower clock rate or the X3/4 a faster clocked dual core will outdo a X3 or X4. The only thing that the Tri/Quads have over dual is more mutlitasking which most people dont even use fully and very few programs even use them fully too. My X2 6000+ has no trouble with any game on high or max and will probaly last another 1 1/2 years at least without have any issues running games.
Also upgradeing to a 9800 GTX "8800GTS" wont give you a great boost... My Rig handles Warhead pretty well with its problems, GoW you can run no problem, and FC2 should be less demanding then Crysis. your best bet is to SLI your 8800GT if you play at the resolution in ur sig. A SLI'ed 8800GT will do much better than a single 9800GTX. Also If you just upgrade your CPU to a X2 5600+ or better, you will see a big boost.

Alright, I'm a little bit late on the reply here, but have they fixed the SLi issues (nVidia)?
