Only assumption: GTX780/R9 290, i5 4670K, 8Gb RAM

Or an amd fx 8350 as the cpu, with a decent collet overclock to 4.5ghz, should work out cheaper and potentially a little better for future use.

Debatable. That's all I'll say.

I think you should go with the powecooler PSC + R9 290. Its on sale right now for 410 bucks which is great seeing how it is usually $600, so you will save some money and get a great card. Here is a review of it: http://www.fudzilla.com/home/item/34647-powercolor-pcs%20-r9-290-4gb-reviewed/34647-powercolor-pcs%20-r9-290-4gb-reviewed?start=6 (sorry for the long link, on my phone)

Damn 410 is great price on that card. I already am getting a 770 for 309 because I couldn't find a new non reference 290 for a good price.

the more useful in future is debatable yes, but it is generally cheaper, more money for GPU then

Great price? I got my R9 290 for $200 at the time it was only 2 months old.

I say go with i5 4670K, Z87/Z97 mobo & you should have looked at some ATI GPUs they're a great price right now. 770 is great card though.

Just keep your eyes open at the right time. That's how I got it for $200.
