I'm trying to DL my games, and Origin keeps giving me the error 131079:6. I've tried multiple times, tried restarting my PC, tried reinstalling Origin, and tried running Origin as admin, but nothing works. HELP?!

Try a different browser or if all else fails Origin Customer Support helped me by phone last time I had a problem.

Yes, I have had every issue with origin in existence (0% stuck installer, not letting games download, etc...)

First what OS are you on (service pack too if it applies)? Have you tried running it as an adminstrator. IF you are running 8.1 or 8 there is a trick that you may have to run it in compatibility mode for 7

Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x64. Tried running as admin, as well as several other things. I've some cases where the problem went away after a couple days, so I'm hoping that'll happen with me

Silly question not sure if it would matter have you tried disabling any firewalls or anti virus?

Ok so I did have to trick Origin one time, go into your installation directory and find the folder labeled "Origin Games" is there folders inside that for the games you were trying to download or there is nothing there?

Also Arthas is right, if you do have antivirus or firewalls go ahead and turn them off and give it a try too, though for the most part firewall would be the only problem and it should request you to grant access when origin tries to download a game.

Origin is a piece of shit for software though, like I have had way too many problems that I had to find my own solutions for, not to mention it is a mess in general. I really hope EA realizes how crap it is and adopts steam, its way better than there failed attempt to create a cloud service (also web browser to find game servers? really?)

Arthras045, Yes, I did disable my firewall and antivirus. No change,

IvanElk: The Origin Games folder is empty

Is your ISP going through a router to get to your pc? Try by passing if possible or temp open ports up?

You have a good one my friend.

I don't know much about internet connectivity. ISP? Ports?

My PC is connected to our modem by an ethernet cable. I don't think it's an internet issue though, as Origin is working fine on my laptop.

Google that error message and what info comes back?

Already did that and got a bunch of potential problems that I doubt are his. It is sounding more like his origin install is bad. What I would suggest since origin games folder is empty is to go ahead and uninstall origin and then delete the origin games folder (you don't need to back it up since nothing is in there, if there is just simply copy it to your desktop then delete the old one) then reinstall origin (redownload if necessary).

@IvanElk: Sounds good I would just go ahead and redownload.

Already did all that. Contacted EA customer service and they basically said "Hell if I know," and told me a specialist would email me, which means I'll probably hear from them in a few months

Well in all honesty it has to be something on your PC. Because in a previous post you stated that your other computer works fine. Looking through forums and such I don't really see much that could help you or wasn't already suggested..... This is a new one on me sorry man....
