You already have a SSD,why spend the extra on a black drive?

I have an identical hard drive layout as this guy. For me, I can't fit all my games on a 250gb SSD. Just ones that I regularly play. For the games that don't fit, it helps to have a fast drive. I replaced a 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3 drive with WD 2TB Black and it's noticeably zippier than what I was using before. If it was purely for storage I probably wouldn't have opted for the Black. I'm actually surprised how fast things load on it - very often the difference between my HDD and SSD is minimal in load times. For example, when I had Dota 2 on my older Samsung Spinpoint, I certainly never was one of the first to load. Usually closer to last. After putting it on my 850 Pro, I usually was the first one to load - and when switching Dota 2 to my WD Black, I'm still often the first to load.

Otherwise, if your priority is on saving power, money, and volume (because WD Black gets noisy during big mixed read/write operations) - get anything but the WD Black.

2 things I'd add...I'd beef up the cpu cooler (240 possible in your case?) because that cpu runs pretty warm when turbo'ed up to 4.4ghz.

Second thing...I'd change that WD black to anything from HGST. Their 4tb drives (160ish on newegg last I checked) perform better than the black and you'll have a much better quality drive (less likely to break on you).

Looks good other than that.

Eh...Userbenchmarks show the HGST being slower than the WD. WD Black drives are plenty reliable - which is probably why they offer a longer warranty than the HGST as well.

HGST/(was hitachi) is cream of the crop, especially with their newer enterprise drives.

HGST enterprise drives are quicker in most tasks, and the one their not they are neck and neck. You also get an extra 2tb of storage. There's nothing comparable in value right now in any hdd. They are the fastest/next to fastest, the most reliable, and you get a great amount of storage.

Or whatever.

I won't argue that for 4Gb at $160, it's a better value and overall pick. Just the claims about it being faster or more reliable seem dubious at best. The speeds are trade-offs in different areas. If it were more reliable, I figured they'd offer a longer warranty but they might just be a way to save money on their behalf and offer the product at a better value.

But for the value, I'll admit that you're right and it is a good pick and a better choice than the WD Black. It's the same price as my 3tb, so an extra TB is pretty nice.

If I keep the WD Black in my build (I'm not sure I will) I don't think I can get a 240. Is the Corsair H55 any better than the Seidon 120M?

May want to check this out.. http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Desktop-3-5-Inch-Internal-ST2000DX001/dp/B00EIQTKAS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1430694157&sr=8-2&keywords=SSHD The Seagate SSHD 2tb is only $90.. And that is the next best choice if your not going to use Intel Rapid Storage technology and your not going to use a ssd for games. It has a slower first use than the black, but due to the ssd cache it will be significantly faster on commonly used games and programs off the drive than the black.. It's also cheaper to boot.

Or you could get like a 64gb ssd instead.. Install the OS on the black drive, and use intel rapid storage technology in which the ssd acts as a giant cache for the hard drive..

I changed my power supply to the EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply. Its cheaper and has very good reviews. In terms of cooling what should I do. I've thought about the Cooler Master Seidon 120V and 120M. Also the Hyper 212 Evo and Corsair H50 and H55. I've looked at the Noctua's also. I'm looking for something that's $30-50. What do you guys reccomend?

Looks good. Only thing I would add is that you wait for 1 month for AMD to release their HBM memory based R9 390 series. Supposed to provide significant boost in performance. Also, may see a price drop on GTX 970/980, so it might save you money if you do decide to go nVidia.

Get WD Blue instead & avoid RM series PSU. Go with something else like, AX, HX or EVGA G2, B2, etc.
