Hi everyone,

i was wondering if anyone could please share with me any games they know that are

non violent and that arent necessarily for kids either ? No nudity/sexual themes either

-It can be any type of game so long as there is no killing. And by that i also mean that no one is actually shooting at you or trying to harm you.

-Also it would be good if the game was well done,as in good graphics.good story.

- No horror or creepiness kind of like portal.

- a game with a good vibe ,something positive if possible

-No sports game

I only know of these games :

Portal 1 and 2

Mirror edge

Khan

Anything made from Nintendo sounds like a better bet.

@khan_92:

If you are into simulation games, I suggest Sims 3 or Tropico 4.

I also heard the Brothers: The Tale of Two Sons is pretty good also.

You can check out steam at steampowered.com for whole store of pc games and you may find one to your liking.

Try Rayman Legends,

Or Maybe even Max Curse Of Brotherhood..... No wait hang on, Max is not necessarily violent but he is a bit of a dick ! Oh dear wait... Rayman Legends has you stepping on Frogs and Birds and other innocent creatures, I mean on some level they're really adorable.... Uhm... I'm stumped.

Just play with a yoyoy.

Honestly there are tons. Entire genres of games meet your criteria. These range from Bejewelled with straight puzzle games to many adventure games like the Broken Sword series. As far as recent games go, The Fall is a straight up puzzle/adventure game. Broken Age is a good candidate. Fez is good. Many games in the "city building" genre. All the games in the Sim City or The Sims series. Gone Home is a little creepy but it's not a horror game and it's entirely story oriented. Kentucky Route Zero is a trip.

The list goes on and on.

-can be an rpg or adventure

-no sports games

@khan_92: You specified no games in which people are trying to kill you, so that disqualifies Mirror's Edge. Even if you decide to play in a non-violent playthrough you spend most of the time fleeing from cops who are shooting at you. And like @GTR12 pointed out, Portal also has shooting in the form of automated turrets that shoot at you.

But yeah, mostly the adventure and puzzle game genres will fit your criteria, even if the games you used as examples do not.

Brothers has blood, violence, and dark themes although nothing too extreme. Everyone should play Brothers, it's an awesome game.

I agree with whoever said Rayman Legends. That game is absolutely excellent and probably one of the best non-violent games around.

You could try Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale. It's a really great game if you're looking for something cheerful with a lot of positive vibe. Basically, you're an item shop owner in an RPG world and try to pay off your debt by selling stuff to adventurers and city inhabitants. There is some mild cartoon violence, as you have to fight monsters when you go dungeon crawling to get some unique stuff, but otherwise it's a game you'd surely like.
