Did you really expect it to? The game was supposed to be released with the same graphics like a year and a half ago :roll:PwningStick
Dx9 still looks amazing. STALKER was made nearly 7yrs ago. We wouldnt see the game till Xmas if they needed to implement Dx10 into it. Dont forget games can be patched wiht Dx10 (company of heroes - 1st Dx10 game)
Another reason is if STALKER waits till fall to release, they will be up against too many big games that people want. Half Lfe 2 E2, Halo3, UT3, Bioshock, etc etc. Which is 1 of there reasons for pulling out 2 yrs ago, when it was HL2, FEAR, Quake 4 and Halo2. I know there are other reasons, but that was 1 of them.
[QUOTE="Xeonz"][QUOTE="9mmSpliff"]Flight Simulator X is the first DX10 game. Not what I have from websites. But either way dont care.Dont forget games can be patched wiht Dx10 (company of heroes - 1st Dx10 game)

SM4.0, advanced phsyics, easier to create the games/physics, more performance in games. I know what youre saying, but also remember, we have to wait and see games with it in action.Well , I can't think of a one certain good feature the game will gain from using DX10 architecture !
oh well , there is one :Â Microsoft will be happy !

Actually when it comes to Shader Models  .. we usually don't gain much .. the only difference between SM3 and SM2 was HDR ..and it didn't look that astonishing .. in fact with some porper and serious tweaking .. normal lighting can look as good .
I agree with "more performance in games" though .. Microsoft said DX10 will improve games 6 or 8 times .. what gets me is that I thought -in the beginning- that this matter wull be software-dependant .. turns out that I must have a DX10 hardware before I even think about the validity of the previous statement !
