I'm so annoyed with this right now.

I was so looking forward to these new drivers and I could not get them to install.

I ended up using DDU to get it all clean then install the old drivers again....then I get this message you see below in this pic. But I was able to get the old ones installed again. Anyone else have this or how to fix it?

I had no problem installing the new driver. Only trying to download it from AMD.

You can try downloading it here...

http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/Drivers/ATI_Catalyst/

See if that helps.

@BSC14: It's because the make of your computer. Prebuilt I'm guessing? Just give it some time and they will add it so it recognizes it. This is a common problem and it's nothing to worry about.

I tried it out earlier today and ran into the same issue. Went back to old drivers.

Working great for me though. Only problem I encountered was with AC Unity but I've deleted that piece of trash. Good riddance. I say all the PC gamer community should unite and boycott ubisoft's games. That'd better teach them a good lesson.

Firstly, DDU is flawed.

Step 1)

Run AMD clean up utility
Restart.

Step 2)

Run CCleaner
Fix regit, yes to delete invalid values (you'll see a bunch of AMD junk left behind)
Restart.

Step 3) Install the Omega drivers... it may appear to fail - do not uninstall and try again. Make sure to restart the moment they are completed.
Your screen may not even flicker indicating a driver install; this is normal.

Once restarted check version number.

Has this been a confirmed fix?

Also I saw someone say this on another board:

"uninstall Microsoft update kb3004394

run ddu

install 14.12 omega

this is Microsoft's fault not AMD's"

I have not tried that yet but if you guys do try it, let me know if it works.

Ok it looks like my last post was correct. It's a windows update that jacked it up.

@BSC14: Are you running windows 7?

Yes but I was able to get it installed by uninstalling a windows update like I posted above.

Not all Ubisoft games are bad though Farcry 4 is actually pretty good and I have high hopes for the Division since massive entertainment is behind it the guys who made World in Conflict for those who don't know.

Far cry 4 is great yes. But the bulk of their games is downright unoptimized and unplayable. After what disaster this year had been for Ubisoft, I'm not getting my hopes high for The Division.
