For some reason about a month ago my sound stopped working for anything but Itunes and for movie trailers on apple.com nothing else works. Anyone know what's wrong and how to fix it?

try downloading the latest drivers for it.

Make sure you sound is all the way up under your volume controls!

it wont let me into that anymore so it told me to go to control panel and add hardware but everything involved with the sound is there

If you have real player, go into teh sound that happened to me once, open all your sound applications. You could also go into the device manager and uninstlal your sound card.
