One of usb deviced malfunctioned and now all the usb ports do not work, the computer runs at full load with just running the os and gives me a hub power surge message. Even when the computer is turned off the status light flashes rapidly and the hdd makes a weird scratching sound until the system is turned back on.
Nothing, I fixed the problem though. It seemed that when one of my usb devices malfunctioned and caused a power surge it took out all the other usb ports as well. So I dsabled all the bad ports and got a pci usb hub.
