maybe a better cpu, an fx 8350 would be better, but you'd need a cooler with it. Youll get recommended i5 cpus by other posters which are better for most games than the FX chip but more expensive and could be over you budget.

What is your max budget your willing to spend

Have a look at this

8350/GTX 970 build

Other users will recommend an intel build, but you would have to sacrifice the gtx 970 to something not as powerful to stay in your budget.

The GPU is more important than the CPU for games, and the 8350 is more than good enough for all games I've played.

That system would play Battlefield 4 at 1080p/60fps.

Here's a build I just did for you that without windows is $603 american. PC build

I included windows in the build so it will show up as costing $703 but there are many ways now a days to get windows free, like student or business incentives offered by Microsoft themselves or you could go down the illegal route but they aren't all ways the most reliable. Hell if you need to save the cash just throw a linux version like ubuntu or mint on till you can afford windows.

The build looks alright, but if I where to suggest one change to the build I'd recommend going with a larger hard drive if you are going to play the newest titles such as battlefield 4 and the like. A lot of the newer games take upwards between 30-50 GB of storage space, so a 500 GB hard drive would only hold roughly between 9-13 games on it.

That's what I built.. except for the memory (8GB but not hyperx fury) and a GTX 750Ti.

My next move will be to overclock the cpu and get those HyperxFury.

Maybe I'll be getting a new cpu+motherboard next year.

But right now I'm playing everything in 1080p Ultra.

Don't care I dont make it to 60fps as I enjoy the game :)

Agreed, i5 with 270X vs. FX6300 with 280X

I would never go with AMD CPUs, not unless going under 150$ on a CPU
