Thinking of upgrading from my 660. The 970 ARMOR version is almost $80 cheaper than the Gaming version. Is the extra $80 worth it? Thanks.

Twin Frozr is amazing for cooling and it comes with a slight overclock.

Is it worth 80$ more? I'd say no

why would anyone buy anything other than the gigabyte G1 version? one of the best cooling solutions, most aggressive factory overclock... and just all around great card.

+1 Im enjoying mine, but yeah the G1 is binned "sorted" for the better overclocking ability, and its cooler beats out the rest and has a sturdy back plate.

Hmm, Gigabyte? I'll check it out. I went for Msi because had great performance/reliability with my msi gtx 660. Thanks for the replies.

For one the graphics card is freaking long and many cases don't have the clearance for it.

80$ more? of course not; that's like saying you're actually paying 80$ extra on the very same 970 GPU.
