Feel free to post any Mini ITX board systems you or someone else has made!

Here's mine.

Lian Li Lunchbox (TU 100)

Specs:

Intel i5 4690k

MSi GTX 760 2gb

Asus Z97I Plus Mobo

8gb Kingston HyperX

Noctua NH-L9I CPU Fan (Low-Pro)

256gb Samsung SSD

Silverstone 450W PSU Modular

Fist for Scale
Fist for Scale

Notes: I should have gone with the non-modular PSU, since it would have been easier to just tuck away extra cables instead of compensating for the space taken up by the plastic connectors.

You've a decently powerful machine. Why such a small case?

I had built my own mini-itx using an AMD e350 with 10 TB's of storage as a file server/HTPC. I specifically picked a CPU/mobo that was fanless and low consumption drives to reduce power usage since it would be on 24/7.

But for your build, i see nothing but potential limitations for upgrading components.

Love your cat! And the name of that case. lol

Just finished my m-ITX HTPC.

Intel i3 4160
ASUS Z97I-PLUS
8GB Kingston HyperX Fury
Silverstone DS380B Case
Silverstone 450W Gold SFX PSU
Intel 530 series 240GB SSD
Noctua NH-L9i CPU cooler
HighPoint RocketRAID 2720SGL
8 x 4TB WD Reds in RAID 5

It's not very pretty inside. Lots of cables, not much room to put them.

Turned out to be a very expensive venture, but I'm happy with it. Storage alone cost more than what most sane people would spend on an entire PC.

@kzebski:

Looks great, and the cat is something else--looks like a cartoon in the flesh.

@insane_metalist:

Hey, I'm OP's friend. He hit post-cap and told me to reply.

He wanted to clarify that he had to switch the mobo out because of a damaged USB 3 pin.

My current main gaming PC is an AsRock Z77-based mobo + Radeon HD 7870 in a BitFenix Prodigy. Pain in the backside to get the right cooler for, and I actually intended the BitFenix to be a backup plan for an even smaller case, but I'm kinda stuck with it for now.

Love not having to bust my back lifting it, however. I'm thinking about moving up to micro-ATX and/or experimenting with a liquid cooler, but one thing is for certain: no way am I ever going to lug around an ATX midtower ever again.

your cat is unhappy because your lunchbox didn't actually contain any lunch.

i'm using BitFenix Prodigy, and it's large enough to fit a third party cooler (air) for the CPU. i love mini-itx builds <3
