A couple of months or so ago I made a post asking for a simple, player friendly RTS and someone recommended C&C3. Well, I went out and picked it up and loved it, beat it a couple of times actually. Anyway, now I need a new RTS. Again, I want a simple RTS thats SIMPLE. I am still a rookie when it comes to RTS so I am looking simple and easy to understand RTS. So, any recommendations?

LotR: tBfM-E 2 is pretty good. Its very easy to start to understand when you play it.

Not sure if you would be ready for Supcom now or not but i would move up to Company of Heroes first then move on to Supcom.

Both Company of Heroes and SupCom are amazing games. I'd agree with the previous posters though, CoH is far more simple than SupCom. Start there and work your way up.

Also, when you finish those two games, Starcraft and Warcraft 3 are excellent RTS games as well.

With company of heroes... there are just a handful of structures and units, but there are so many variables, micromanagement, flanking, building barbed-wire and sandbags etc. that the game is really complicated. whew! lighting fast!

It is quite technical, and puts you on the edge of your seat a lot, but nothing pays off more than watching a perfectly executed flanking tactic... :)

yeah, for what it's worth, I tend to get overwhelmed by many big-battle RTS, but I was intrigued by Company of Heroes, bought it, and enjoy it immensely. I was able to get a handle on the gameplay which is saying something.

I also recommend Soldiers: Heroes of World War II. Still a nice looking game.
