Guys I am looking at getting a new PC sometime soon as our current desktop is very much on its last legs. Now this PC would be for family use and for gaming as I think I am going to hold off on the PS4 and XBOX ONE until next Fall. My issue is that I am a "PC Dummy". I don't know much outside of the basic Windows OS stuff and getting on the internet. That being said, I would be looking at a PC building site like CyberpowerPC.com. What other sites would you all recommend. By the way, my budget would be $1000-1500 max.

Your best bet would be buy a $600 computer that has an i5 or FX8000 CPU and then buy a powersupply/GPU to install in it (Just for an example buy this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229438 and then install this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139027 and this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127745 ).

The above is the absolute minimum I would do given your budget
