Just bought Torchlight 2

I just downloaded it, and now it is saying that my machine is not connected online? I dont understand, how do I fix this issue?

ok heres the message I get.

I did make an account for online play on Runic's site.

Thjis morning, I checked to see if it would work, and it started to download patches (im guessing) and then it said "unable to download metafile".. The launcher actually connected online, and I was able to see news and announcements. I exited and try to run the game again, and now it says the same message about my machine not being connected to the internet.

This is frustrating.

Also... the option to play the game disappeared. So now I cant even play the game offline..

If your using the launcher you buy directly from runics site? Steam doesnt have a launcher. I would contact runic and see what they say.

edit: Because I bought on steam and it has no launcher. Never had any issues with it.

From Steam's game hub of Torchlight II I knew there were some technical issues they had, maybe that's causing the problem. I'd go offline and play for a few days and then check back, if still nothing has happend contact their support.
