i was thinking about downloading xfire but i heard it tracks alot of stuff and how long u play so i was wondering if its safe or not....has anybody had a problem from it?

Yes its safe - it tracks game play statistics (hours played) but thats about it. It also allows you to communicate with friends, take and upload screenshots & videos, and broadcast videos. XFire has been around for quite a while, I would think that it would have gone under pretty quick if people were finding it unsafe. It's the most dangerous software ever, infects windows with the world's worst ms08-067-erifx vulnerability.

I can't be lying, I'm on the internet.

It's safe. With near to 15 millions of users, if the program were risky or problematic we already must known about.

Xfire is perfectly fine, been using it for awhile now and no issues at all. Very handy imo!

I'm surprised a linux/mac fanboy hasn't quoted your post and made a joke about Windows. But then again you didn't say we'd not be using it you just said we'd know.

Linux/Mac users usually don't read in gaming forums ^^ . And I myself -as lot of people- use Windows because convenience, not because a blind faith in the OS.

Careful of people.

Apparently there was a serial killer adding people on Xfire!!

It is so safe that even Blizzard Openly supports it and it actually comes with a lot of games, a lot of games nowadays will ask you at the end of the game installation if you wish to install Xfire.

he is joking, that is why he added that last part. xfire is safe virus wise and as long as you dont give out any personal information it is completely safe. It is a great program, enjoy it.
