I currently have an ATI AMD HD 6770 1gb and I am deciding to upgrade.

I originally got a PowerColor PCS+ AX7950 Radeon HD 7950 3GB off of eBay for $110, and it wouldn't show any video no matter what I did even replaced the psu and still nothing.

I decided to get a different card off of eBay for $120.50, it is a Sapphire Dual-X R9 270X 2GB OC with Boost. So I hope that is a good video card especially for shooters.

My PC set up is...

Dell XPS 8300 (X8300-7008NBK)

CPU: Intel Core i7-2600 3.4 GHz

Mobo: Some generic board has no name on it.

Graphics Card: ATI AMD Radeon HD 6770 1GB

PSU: Rosewill 550W (originally had a Dell 460W)

RAM: 8 GB

HDD: 2TB

OS: Win 7 Home Premium

The 270X is a rebadge of the 7870ghz.

Performance wise its on the low-end of the midrange bracket and $120 was a great price for it

Get R9 270 > OC it and you've got the same GPU.

Well I hope that the Sapphire Dual-X R9 270X 2GB OC with Boost is a lot better for fps and perfornance in games than the ATI AMD HD 6770 1gb that I currently have now. I am sure that it will be, but how much better?

This.

That said I'm loving my current cards. But I feel vram will be a issue long before I start having trouble with running games.

@Coseniath:

That's cool and I have seen that already. What I looking for is actual people like you and me that have used the card or has one, and that can tell me more about it and how good it is. Thanks anyways.

I am a bit confused. Aren't FPS the way to tell how good a GPU is?

ps: Also if you are talking how quiet it could be, you can see that too.
