Hey all,

I have a lot of spare time at work, and am looking for entertaining in browser games (preferrably text based.. no client download)

I currently have found two that are really entertaining..

www.archspace.org

and

http://deathbagel.playeverwars.com

but the first one is going to be taken offline after this current set.. and the second one isn't enough to keep me busy all day.. any good suggestions of other games besides those two?

Thanks!

A ton of classic text based adventures have been translated into flash or java form. There's a wealth of gameplay to be had in the classics of yesteryear. Specifically in the Infocom text adventures, of which they made many.

Zork I: The Great Underground Empire
Zork II: The Wizard of Frobozz
Zork III: The Dungeon Master
Zork: The Undiscovered Underground
Enchanter
Seastalker
Sorcerer
Spellbreaker
Wishbringer
Starcross
Suspended
Planetfall
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Stationfall
Deadline
The Witness
Leather Goddesses of Phobos
The Lurking Horror

Galaxies Ablaze is a pretty fun strategy game. Only updates once an hour so it won't keep busy all day unfortunately. Torn City Is also pretty fun, though it also won't keep you busy all day, but between the two it might take up quite a bit of free time.
