I thought Rage would have mods?

I remembered how the game was supposed to ship with a full level editor and modding tools. I have yet to see a single mod for the game, or be able to find one using google. Does anyone know if the game no longer was granted modding tools, and if not where the hell the mods are at?

The full game editor is there, the problem is people have to actually make the game. Mod tools are not a guarentee that mods will be made.

Wait really? Where do you launch it?

Okay, thanks for the clarification, but what do you mean "Make the game"? They would have to literally go through and recreate everything to implement a simple mod?

Rage is a good game, it would just be fun to have mods. I was in no way saying I didn't like the game. I was just under the impression mods would be out already.

I mean make the mod. I believe the tools are packed somewhere in the root. Not sure.

I looked all around couldn't find them. Oh well, someone will eventually.

Apparently it's inbuilt. I guess we would have open the command console and get it that way.

Tim Willis of Id said bring down the console in game and type "idstudio" but I tried and doesn't do anything.

I was reading and apparently Idstudio and the x64 were not included in the release. Apparently this is something that's being worked on.

Rage is a bad game, no one wants to mod it

maybe Doom 4 will be good, but i doubt it

It's not a bad game... the story's abysmal, but the gameplay's good. Anyway, mod tools aren't in yet, nor is the 64bit client... dunno when we'll get it and why they lied about it being a feature at launch.

I liked RAGE, and would really like to see some mods, although i'm afraid that IDs delay in releasing the mod tool would make the modders forget about this game. I mean in these Skyrim days...

I dont think there is enough interest in the game for it to have a big modding community
