How can I monitor my network?

I want to be able to see if my network is dropping occasionally....how can I go back and see what it's doing?

Anyone?

I don't really get the question but use WireShark, its a good network analyser, assuming that's what you want.

works, stops working, works, stops working.....but it's going back and forth a lot in a short time. I can't really figure it out...

Ok, but a bit more specific? Works as you lose network? or you just lose internet? etc.

You may want to try the dslreports smoke ping.
