does anyone here know the release date for gta v pc?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
there is no release date. though retailers are saying the next gen/pc edition comes out in the summer. So you got to wait till rockstar says something.
@TheShadowLord07: oh ok, thanks for the answere
To be honest I don't care anymore... and with things like Watch Dogs and The Division coming, I might not even play GTAV
You'll care when the mods hit.
I never modded GTA to begin with, I judge a game based on it's vanilla state, not the mods other people create for it.

It was pretty dang fun on the 360. The only reason I stopped playing after the story is...
- Prefer m/kb over controller
-Prefer my monitor over my TV
-30 FPS in car chases hurt my eyes
-My couch is crappy and not comfortable.
If it came out on the PC, I'd probably never stop playing. :P
@FelipeInside: Nor do I. If I did id have never picked up Skyrim on its launch day of which I played for hundreds of hours. I find once the mods hit the interest is renewed and ..another hundred hours is logged.
Could be, but I have limited time to play games... so I barely finish them as they are, let alone play around with mods.
Whoever decides to skip GTA V is an idiot in my book. Loved every second of it on my PS3, you'll be doing yourselves a big favour to play it especially on the superior version on PC.
I'm very likely skipping it (like when I boycotted MW2 years ago, I am one of the few that's never played the game nor any Call of Duty released afterward, ever) its a stupid sandbox game made by Rockstar who are long dead to me. They've tarnished their reputation on the PC which is where they started. Modders doing better work than them is downright unacceptable as well, as I've seen the amazing things modders have done with GTA IV that Rockstar could have done as the game seems to handle it well, like the LCPD mod, but willingly chose not to implement anything that would make the console versions look inferior.
I don't even care anymore because knowing Rockstar, its not going to be a PC Game, its going to be a "console port" like GTA IV. I've lost interest in the series ever since they decided that PC gamers who supported them are basically all people who steal games now thanks to the few that illegally downloaded GTA IV and so now ALL PC gamers must be punished with DRM (Steam/Origin/etc;) after waiting 6 months to a year to play the game. They could have avoided all of that with a DRM-Free release with limited usage of GFWL like 360 controller support. But they don't appear to have common sense.
I stopped reading right there. You were going good...
Meh , don't care about GTA or overrated Rockstar . If they don't want my money then I don't care .
Recently in an interview , GTA publishers said that they will release the game on PC , PS4 and Xbox One if there is enough user base on those platforms . Since 75 million steam users are next to nothing for Rockstar and all of them are pirates , we'll have to wait until PS4 and Xbox One user base grows a little bit . I won't be surprised if they'll release the PC version even after PS4 and Xbox One (or even Wii U , Lol) .
They can keep it consoles , at least I don't care about their games . I rather support developers like Valve , CD Projekt , CIG etc (even Blizzard) than Rockstar . No matter how good GTA V is on PC , I won't be buying it .
@FelipeInside: I don't see those "services" as anything more than useless DRM. Most people don't care because all they see are the cheap prices.
So you think that:
- Having an in-game friends chat
- Having an in-built Screenshot Utility
- Having games auto-patch themselves
- Have games at a cheaper price since it cuts the middle man
- Have bundled game offers
- Have Cloud Backup of your saves in case something goes wrong
- Have inbuit review system so you can check if a game is good (according to others) before you buy
- Have a platform for indie developers to sell their products
- Be able to play OFFLINE
Is ALL DRM and you don't want to do an extra click on your mouse?
I pre-ordered the game back in September 2013 when a danish gameshop had it up for pre-order on their site. It was removed for pre-order soon after.
But yesterday I got an email from the gameshop where it said that my order was ready to ship soon, and they were just checking if my shipping address is still correct. I still can't find info about the game on their site. But I'm hoping it was an auto generated mail in their system, because they/it have info on the release date, which they are not allowed to share yet. Fingers crossed. But now I'm actually also looking forward to Watch Dogs.

Modded Fallout 3 and modded New Vegas were pretty great. Modding them was a bit of a time-sink though and some times you get mixed results.
I really hope they do release it for PC. I mean, all the consoles are x86 now and if they're porting to Xbox One and PS4 it's a no-brainer to build the PC version as well. With how similar Xbox One and PC development is there is no excuse for a poor port like GTA IV was.
tell u the truth it would of been out by now if it was coming out for pc , but the other guy says they waited too long after the console versions that many cares less anymore but my honest opinion if it came out I wouldn't buy it b/c now I seen it and is it over rated

GTA IV on PC got released 8 months after the console launch.
GTA V launched in november, calm down

Actually I believe that they making it also for XBONE and PS4. I guess some delay is unavoidable.
Grand Theft Auto V will be RELEASED on PC by the end of June, 2014.
Do not ask me. Just trust me :)
That's only a month away, it would've been announced already if that was the case...
They are keeping the time between the announcement and release minimal.
No marketing / promotion is required.

I think it would be a Q3/4 release at the earliest, if there even is a PC release.
When I was playing GTA V on PS3 I was hoping for a PC release to get rid of all the issues (like low draw distance and FPS drops) but frankly so much time has passed, and if Rockstar releases it on PC a year after for full price, I won't even consider getting it.
