Hey guys, wondering if you can give me a few suggestions.

I've been making some videos of my wife's concerts and other work related stuff for her for a while but now she wants to start doing video tutorials and the like so I was wondering if you guys can help me choosing a good video editing software, since using Movie Maker just won't cut it =p

Preferably something that I won't have to spend 3 months learning how to use but that doesn't make simple things like syncing video and sound, simple cut editing and picture on video (or video on video) a headache.

It doesn't have to be free, although it's ok if it is, as long as it's good.

Thanks in advance guys =)

Adobe Premiere is one of the best, and not hard to learn at all.

@harry_james_pot: That's great to hear. I have Adobe CS6 but never tried Premiere. I'll give it a try =)

Any more suggestions are still appreciated =D

I've used all these and can give you a quick rundown:

- Adobe Premiere: the best with the most features, but the hardest to learn and the most expensive.

- Sony Vegas: nearly as good as Premier, but still expensive and a learning curve.

- Nero Video: easy to use, cheap and plenty of features.

- Windows Movie Maker: FREE, easy to use and similar to Nero Video but with a bit less features.

All depends what you want to do with the video. If it's just simple cut and paste with captions and animations, go Movie Maker.

@thehig1: What can I say? I have fun there =D That being said I do visit this part of the forums on occasion as well, I just can't be assed to be a part of the dick measuring contest that any game discussion ends up being. For technical stuff though, this is a good place that has helped me more than once =)

Great advice from @FelipeInside. I'd thrown Video Easy or Movie Edit Pro into the ring. Easy to use, and good value also! http://www.magix.com/gb/make-video/
