Geforce Titan PCB pic. leak, Price Included-

Accoriding to the latest roumors, Geforce Titan will hold 6GB of VRam, have a TDP of 235-250W and take up just 2 slots in your rig.

A, not so legit leak, showes Titan score X7377 on 3DMark 11, but the fishy part is that GPU-Z recognizes the Titan as GTX 780 which is just stupid.

The blurred out photo shows 12 memory banks on the front, an we can assume 12 on the back,so it reaches 6GB. In the middle, the only un-blurred detail is the massive core of te GPU saying; Taiwan, GK 110.

Further more, a price leak has been found, on a Scandinavian site, selling the GPU for 7000 kronas, which come up to around ~1000 US Dollars. This is very close te the first leaked price of 899$, but someone may get scared of 4 digit numbers.

If the info is true, this card can beat a GTX 690 and the ROG ARES II like nothing. Nvidia just reserved the top once again, your move ATi!

Good lord, that is crazy!

Further more, a price leak has been found, on a Scandinavian site, selling the GPU for 7000 kronas, which come up to around 1200 US Dollars. This is nowehere near te first suggested price of 899$, and will back people off.

 

Seriously, if this price is true NV needs to get it's stuff together. A top of the line single GPU should always remain under 1000$, maybe less than 800$. You need to draw a line between pro and consumer GPU's, not blur it out.

But, let's take for example a GTX 680 in SLI. It comes pretty close to the performance of the 690, but with more heat, micro-stuttering, higher power consumption and what not.

The 690 solves micro-stuttering, offers better framerate...but it's downclocked because the heat generated cannot evaporate so quickly, so the only solution is water cooling...which Rog Ares II had.

Now, talking about power consumption; Titan is said to have a TDP of 250W, which is far lower than 690 or 680's in sli. 

And, if Nvidia allows modding the coolers, fans, etc. You are going to see better aftermark cooling solutions, meaning that heat won't really be the problem.

If you can't have something, don't diss it. Accept it and:

So these rumors are inconsistent.

How do you work out TDP out of a blurred out shot? The TDP I pulled was from a tech site claiming ruomors.homeboylizard

Because you can see it has 1x 6 pin PCIe power and 1x 8 pin PCIe power. For a total of 300 watts.

PCIe 6 pin is 75 watts, PCIe 8 is 150 watts and Motherboard PCIe power is 75 Watts.

Why would anyone spend this much on a card? Especially given the trend of new GPU's popping up like chicken pox? I would not ever spend 899, or even 1000 dollars on a GPU when it will just become obsolete in a year, or two. That's asinine, and unjustifiable, especially considering with most mid-range cards you'll still max out any game at a playabile frame rate. For example, my 570 maxed out every game for 2 years, without an issue. The only hiccup I've had so far is Crysis 3. 

In which case, I could just add in another 570, for considerably cheaper price than a 680, and get much better performance than a 680. You'd be a fool to pay for that GPU.

Those calculators are usually SUPER safe in their recommendations.  Even with that being said, the Asus calculator came out to 550 watts for me.  I have a quality 650 watt.  I'm sure I could swing a Titan with no problem at all.

Yeah, it's bogus.  I know my system doesn't draw over 400-450 watts absolute max.  Current distribution to the 12-volt rails is a bigger deal than a PSU's wattage output when it comes to a gaming system anyways.

6GB VRAM is a lot, hardly any games get near 4 let alone 6, but it's great for future proofing.
