Really enjoyed this game, are there any others like it (except for Portal 1 and 2)?

Also I can recommend it to anyone who enjoyed Portal.

If you liked the philosophical themes I suggest you play their previous game Swapper. It's not like portal though obviously since it's 2D.

If you're looking for abstract puzzle games, Antichamber should be the top of your list.

As for games with fun philosophical narration, try The Stanley Parable.

Antichamber, highly recommended

QUBE, less recommended, but it's ok

Quantum Conundrum is alright but the DLC is garbage.

I was about to recommend those. Well except for QUBE.

There are plenty of independant games that will come out that are in the same style of thalos (or kind of)

Nowadays plenty of independant developers can give birth to otherwise never-born great concepts!

some very few examples I came across these past days:

www.indiegogo.com/projects/dual-madness/x/9643832

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/pongish-9-to-5-minim/x/9643832

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/eigenbom/moonman?ref=category

...

all very different but amazing in concepts and there are plenty others.

Surprised nobody mentioned Magrunner: Dark Pulse. Definitely check this one out. Beautiful gameplay. Awesome puzzles. Mystery surrounding HP Lovecraft. Great. Friggn. Game.

Antichamber is amazing. Also try the Legend Of Grimrock games if you like puzzles.

I dunno. Swapper requires some pretty creative thinking in non-linear terms to solve puzzles. It may not be exactly the same but I think it makes the player think in similar ways.
